The June meeting of the Preceptory was very much an occasion to get back to business – with a particular focus on the wellbeing of the membership, their connections and ‘world view’ taken Order in general.
In the opening ceremony the name of George Raymond Yare was called three time without answer. A requiem marked his passing, and also that of the immediate Past Grand Master of the Order.
Donations to charity were proposed and seconded that saw £800 be allocated to the Eye Hospital in Jerusalem and £200 to support the crisis in Ukraine.
The Preceptory was honored by the presence of the Provincial First Constable, who witnessed the admission of one of four candidates in waiting.
